Singapore is a vibrant city with many world-class attractions. In this guide, I’ll highlight some of the top spots you shouldn't miss, from beautiful gardens and cultural districts to thrilling entertainment hubs.
Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is a must-visit for nature and architecture lovers. This iconic spot features the Supertree Grove with its towering structures, the Flower Dome, and the Cloud Forest. The Supertrees light up at night, offering a magical experience. The Garden Rhapsody light and sound show at the Supertree Grove is a popular attraction, which takes place daily at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM.
Inside the Cloud Forest, you’ll find a mesmerizing indoor waterfall and a lush, mist-filled conservatory. The Flower Dome delights with seasonal floral displays from around the world.
Walking through these gardens feels like stepping into a futuristic paradise. Be sure to also check out “Satay by the Bay” for some delicious hawker style food stalls! I enjoyed some chicken satay here.
Marina Bay
Marina Bay is a stunning waterfront district that offers spectacular views and entertainment. The Singapore Flyer provides a breathtaking 165-metre-high view of the city and beyond. The Marina Bay Sands hotel features the remarkable infinity pool on its 57th floor.
Here, you can catch light and water shows like Spectra, which is held every evening. The Helix Bridge, designed to look like DNA, is an engineering marvel and offers excellent photographic opportunities. Be sure to also visit the ArtScience Museum, shaped like a lotus flower.
Chinatown
Chinatown in Singapore is rich in culture and history. The bustling streets are filled with shops, temples, and food stalls selling local delights. You can visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, which houses what is believed to be a tooth relic of Buddha.
The Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of the oldest Chinese temples in Singapore, is another must-see. For a taste of local cuisine, head to Chinatown Complex Food Centre. With its colourful shophouses and busy markets, Chinatown offers a unique peek into Singapore’s multicultural heritage. Also be sure to check out the Maxwell Food Centre where Anthony Bourdain had “Chicken Rice” at the Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice stall. This stall is still listed in the Michelin Guide as a Bib Gourmand Restaurant.
Sentosa Island
Sentosa Island is the place to go for adventure and relaxation. This island resort houses Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and S.E.A. Aquarium. For some thrill, try the MegaZip zipline or the indoor skydiving at iFly Singapore.
Sentosa also features beautiful beaches like Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong. You can unwind at beach bars and take part in various water sports. For a unique encounter, visit the Tiger Sky Tower, which provides panoramic views of Sentosa and beyond.

Staying at Marina Bay Sands is an experience like no other. I was awestruck by the grandeur of the hotel and especially the Paiza Club Sea View Room. It offers a breathtaking view of the Singapore Strait and the Gardens by the Bay.
As a guest in the Paiza Collection at Marina Bay Sands Hotel, I enjoyed complementary return transfers from Singapore Airport. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by a representative from the hotel who escorted me and my luggage to a waiting vehicle.
My arrival at Marina Bay Sands was through the exclusive Paiza VIP lounge, away from the bustling main check-in area. Two butlers welcomed me and guided me to my Paiza Club Sea View Room on the 48th floor via the dedicated Paiza elevators. Check-in was completed right in my suite, while one of the butlers personally stood in line for me to ensure I had a prime table reserved for afternoon tea after my room tour.
The butlers ensured everything in my room was perfectly arranged, including the pillow menu and amenities. They also booked my breakfast times and reserved a pool cabana in a special area at the iconic Infinity Pool on the 57th floor.
Staying in the Paiza Collection offers numerous additional benefits. During my stay, these included breakfast each morning at The Club at Renku, Spago by Wolfgang Puck, or RISE Restaurant. I also enjoyed complementary afternoon tea from 2:30 to 4:30 PM and evening beverages with canapés from 4:30 to 6:30 PM, both hosted at The Club at Renku. Other benefits included 24 hour butler service, round-trip limousine transfers and pressing and laundry services, making the stay truly exceptional.
The real highlight was the world-famous infinity pool on the 57th floor. Swimming there with panoramic views of the city skyline and Marina Bay was unforgettable. The exclusive Paiza Club lounge also impressed me with its personalized service and lavish amenities.

For an upscale dining experience, Marina Bay is the place to be. At the luxurious Marina Bay Sands, restaurants like LAVO and CUT offer world-class dining. LAVO’s Italian-American menu pairs perfectly with its rooftop views, while CUT by Wolfgang Puck offers premium steaks and an elegant atmosphere.
My favourite is dining at one of their high-end eateries and then heading to the Paiza Club for exclusive cocktails. The combination of fine dining and stunning views makes Marina Bay a top spot for memorable meals.

Little India and Chinatown are vibrant neighbourhoods known for their culinary delights. In Little India, try dishes like Biryani and Tandoori Chicken at the bustling Tekka Centre. The variety of spices and flavours is sure to leave an impression.
Chinatown, with its rich cultural heritage, offers a mix of traditional and modern flavours. Head to the famous 328 Katong Laksa for a taste of authentic Peranakan cuisine. The area is also home to trendy cafes and bakeries, making it perfect for both traditional meals and modern treats.
Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is a must-visit in Singapore for its authentic and flavorful pork rib soup, a beloved local dish. The restaurant's peppery broth, tender ribs, and fragrant spices create a comforting and satisfying meal.
